History
of Qeparo & Suga Region
Qeparo is a historic village in southern Albania, divided into Old Qeparo, nestled on a hillside, and New Qeparo, set along the Ionian Sea. With roots in ancient Illyrian civilizations, the village has been shaped by Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman influences, making it a fascinating destination. Today, Qeparo is known for its olive groves, traditional stone architecture, and stunning seaside views.
